I'm Poonam Mawani Client Relationship Partner

Poonam is a Client Relationship Partner who brings over 20 years of audit, corporate finance and industry experience to the recruitment businesses she supports.

Having qualified as an accountant within audit and assurance, Poonam moved into corporate finance before spending the rest of her career working exclusively within the recruitment sector. She started at Hamilton Bradshaw, before moving to Spencer Ogden where she led the finance function through a period of rapid growth and international expansion. She then joined Milestone Operations, where she led the due diligence and legal sale of the Company to Staffline PLC.

Her deep sector expertise comes from founding and running Azuki Accounts, a back-office specialist for the recruitment industry, which merged with Recruitment Accountants in 2026. Poonam regularly shares her expertise at networking events and webinars, drawing on her own experience of having sat in the finance seat within recruitment businesses to help owners make sense of the numbers.
