TC GROUP LEICESTER PROUDLY SPONSORS LEICESTER NIRVANA FC WOMEN’S TEAM

TC Group Leicester has become an official sponsor of Leicester Nirvana FC Women’s Team, helping to support Leicester’s first predominantly Black, Asian and minority ethnic women’s senior football team.

The sponsorship will see TC Group’s branding featured on the team’s training shirts throughout the season as Leicester Nirvana FC Women continue their transition into competitive 11-a-side grassroots football.

Leicester Nirvana FC’s one of the city’s best-known community football clubs, providing opportunities for players from the age of five through to adulthood. With more than 1,000 members, the club’s built a reputation for developing talent, championing inclusion and creating pathways into the game for people from all backgrounds.

The women’s team in particular is playing an important role in broadening access to football across Leicester, providing a welcoming environment where women can play, compete and thrive while helping to increase the visibility of the women’s game in the city.

Zak Hajat, Chairman of Leicester Nirvana FC, said: “A massive thank you to TC Group for sponsoring our senior women’s training shirts this season. As Leicester’s first predominantly BAME women’s senior football team, this support helps us create a space where women from diverse backgrounds can play, compete and belong.

“We’re proud to have a local business supporting our grassroots women’s team as we continue to build the identity and presence of women’s football in Leicester. The sponsorship will help our players develop their skills on the pitch as we continue our progression into competitive 11-a-side football. Thank you for supporting the women behind the badge!”

Jasbinder Atwal, Business Support Senior at TC Group Leicester, who initiated the relationship, added: “We’re delighted to support Leicester Nirvana FC Women’s Team and play a small part in the club’s journey. As a Leicester-based business, we’re passionate about backing organisations that make a genuine difference in our local community, and Leicester Nirvana’s a fantastic example of that.

The club’s much more than a football team. It brings people together, champions inclusion and creates opportunities for women and young people from all backgrounds. At TC we’re incredibly proud to support a team that’s helping to raise the profile of women’s football across the city while inspiring the next generation of players.”

Founded more than 40 years ago, Leicester Nirvana FC’s evolved into a community organisation that extends beyond football, delivering initiatives focused on education, equality, inclusion and personal development. Through sport, the club continues to create opportunities for individuals and families across Leicester while empowering young people and communities to achieve their potential.

This new sponsorship will help support the women’s team on and off the pitch as they continue to build momentum and inspire the next generation of female footballers across the city.
