UK tax implications of working abroadTop 60 accountancy firm TC Group has further expanded its Surrey and Hampshire presence through a merger with Farnham based EJR Accounting.
The merger, which consolidates TC Group’ position as one of the area’s largest accountancy firms, is the latest in its continued strategy of expansion across London, the South East, the Midlands and South West.
It is officially the fastest growing Top 60 firm in the UK.
EJR will become part of TC Group’ Farnham office, whose joint-managing partner Simon Howell is confident that the merger will bring enhanced benefits to both parties.
He said: ‘EJR has established a strong reputation locally and further afield and further strengthens our capability across a number of core areas.
‘It’s great that there is a lot of shared chemistry between us and that our organisations are a perfect fit. It bodes very well for us all and we look forward to working with and supporting EJR’s clients.’
EJR’s founder and managing partner, Emma Ratcliffe, is equally optimistic. She said: ‘I began EJR 10 years ago and since then have built up a strong business, largely through referrals. But we reached the stage where we needed to progress further in terms of the services we were able to offer. In TC Taylorcocks we are merging with a business that has very much the same attitude and values as us and can provide a broad range of cutting edge services.
‘These are exciting times for our clients who will continue to be serviced by the same team, but with the benefit of the digital expertise and support of a much larger firm moving forward.’
Adds TC Group Managing Partner, Richard Keyes:
‘This complements perfectly our strategy of seeking like-minded firms with which to merge and consolidates our already formidable presence across Surrey and neighbouring counties.
‘We are very grateful to WJP Brokerage Limited who recognised the potential synergy between us and made the initial introduction.
‘Both EJR and TC Group are working closely together on all aspects of the merger to ensure that their integration will be as seamless as possible.’
