  1. Howard Ashton

    Accounts Senior

    Howard’s FCCA qualified with over twenty years’ experience in accountancy and taxation. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with a range of SME’s, providing practical hands on advice to help them cope with the pressures of running a successful business.

  2. Sarah Wells

    Accounts Senior

    Sarah’s an ACCA, AAT (Fellow) qualified Accounts Senior, and has worked in practice since 2017, previously working in an accounts team for a large IFA.

    Her role includes completing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, self-assessments and VAT returns.

  3. Jaz Johal

    Payroll Manager

    Jaz is a ACIPP qualified Payroll Manager , with over twenty years experience of working in both practice and industry. Her role involves managing the payroll team, preparing payrolls for a mix of small/medium sized clients.

  4. Joe DelRosso

    Manager

    Joe’s an Accountant with over eight years’ experience of working in practice, MAAT qualified and a member of ACCA. His experience within practice has covered various roles including payroll, accounts production, tax and advisory.

  5. Michelle Leverton

    Manager

    Michelle’s FCA qualified with over twenty years’ experience in the profession. Her role includes preparing limited, sole trader and partnership accounts and tax returns.

    Michelle also manages other members of the team. She has experience working with various sized and complex businesses and is always happy to offer help and advice to our clients.

  6. Matt Brady

    Partner

    Matt’s FCCA and AAT qualified and based at our Nottingham office, with over 15 years’ experience in accountancy gained working in local practices.  He then joined a Top 20 Accountancy firm as a senior accountant and has since progressed to become a Director.

    Matt’s key strengths include working with larger owner-managed businesses to help them understand the financial performance of their company and assisting them to prepare for expansion with detailed forecasts and planning.  He is adept at providing strategic advice and support to help businesses achieve their growth objectives.

    Outside of the office, Matt’s a keen mixed martial art and Muay Thai (Thai boxing) fan. He enjoys staying active and finds the discipline and focus required in martial arts complement his professional life. Matt also enjoys spending quality time with this family.

  7. James Liptrott

    Partner

    As an ACA qualified Chartered Accountant, James leads the Derby and Nottingham’s audit function, overseeing compliance services and overall audit production.

    He began his career journey after leaving university in 2001, working as a trainee accountant with a Top 20 firm before qualifying in 2004 and progressing to become a Director in practice.

    James has a wealth of knowledge and in-depth experience in financial accounting, business planning and providing management advice to small and medium sized owner managed businesses. As a qualified audit director (RI), he has extensive experience in leading complex audit assignments within rapidly changing business environments, in particular reporting to overseas parents and group account reporting and auditing.

    Outside of work, James leads an active and sporting life, taking part in numerous challenges from walking the National 3 Peaks and Coast to Coast, running half marathons, Tough Mudder and cycling sportives. He’s also an avid fan of the Nottingham Panthers and a Nottingham Forest season ticket holder.

  8. Mark Roe

    Partner

    Mark’s been a Director in practice since 2004 and, as a qualified ATT (Fellow) CTA, is responsible for all taxation matters at our Derby and Nottingham offices. This role involves providing proactive advice to clients to minimise both personal and corporate tax liabilities.

    Mark started his career with a large international firm before moving into practice with a Top 20 Firm of Chartered Accountants.

    Most important to Mark “are Clients and Colleagues. Putting our clients at the heart of our business is key to operating an award-winning practice. My aspiration is for TC Group to be the best accountancy practice in the region. We employ amazing people and I’m hugely proud of the great work our team constantly delivers – they always work incredibly hard to deliver an exceptional experience for our valued clients.”

    Away from the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and has a keen interest in most sports, particularly football, squash, swimming and snowboarding.

  9. Martin Bowles

    Partner

    As an FCA qualified Chartered Accountant, Martin heads up our Derby and Nottingham offices. With over 20 years of experience, there are few business sectors Martin hasn’t encountered.

    He leverages his experience as a business owner to advise other business owners and thrives as a quasi-FD for entrepreneurial clients who lack that function, as well as using his experience to provide a valuable sounding-board to more sophisticated clients.  He learns something new every day and everyday has something new to offer.

    Martin says “The buzz comes from the continuous challenge of successfully running our practices alongside working with interesting and varied clients with ever evolving needs. This leads to no two days being the same. Having a fantastic team to work with and depend on for our continued growth, makes it all worthwhile.”

    A keen pilot away from work, Martin would happily be found soaring above the clouds when he isn’t enjoying time with his family or supporting Nottingham Forest.

  10. Diane Grostate

    Credit Controller / Administrator

    Diane’s our Credit Controller. She’s also responsible for preparing and submitting any Statutory documentation for companies and assists with any administration as required.

  11. Eloise Cholerton

    Payroll Assistant

    Eloise has several years’ experience working in payroll. She deals with the end-to-end processing of payrolls, keeping an attentive eye whilst working to ensure deadlines are met.

    Eloise’s knowledge of legislation means she can confidently support and assist clients with their queries.

  12. Emily Cooper

    Accounts Semi-Senior

    Emily’s AAT qualified and is experienced in preparing accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

  13. Julie Pagett

    Office Manager

    Julie’s our Office Manager and has been with the firm since June 2019. With over 30 years’ experience from a PA/Secretarial background gained within the railway industry prior to joining us.

    She now enjoys the varied role that being Office Manager brings; key roles being front of house reception, meeting and greeting visitors and all office administration duties.

  14. Faye Sexton

    Audit Trainee

    Faye joined us following her graduation from the University of Leicester with an Accounting degree. Faye’s passion lies in expanding her knowledge and delving into the world of audit.

    Audit Trainee

    Sam’s a student Chartered Accountant, his role in audit involves statutory and non-statutory audit for Limited Liability Partnerships and Limited companies.
