Corporate Finance Senior

Senior Tax Manager
Jamie has over a decade of experience advising on complex tax and compliance matters. He works closely with individuals, families and trustees, providing clear, practical guidance to help them navigate their tax affairs with confidence.
He began his career in 2011 at a Top 20 accountancy firm, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2017. Jamie joined TC Farnell Clarke in September 2024 and has since focused on supporting private clients with a wide range of tax issues.
Jamie specialises in inheritance tax planning, trusts and non-resident matters. He also has extensive experience handling HMRC enquiries and voluntary disclosures, helping to resolve issues efficiently and with minimal stress. Known for his thoughtful and tailored approach, Jamie builds long-term relationships based on trust and clarity.
Outside of work, Jamie has a deep interest in music, with tastes ranging from indie to rock through to jazz.

Senior Client Manager
Luke’s a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) who specialises in advisory-led support for SMEs. He works with business owners to move beyond compliance, using cloud accounting and clear financial insight to support confident, informed decision-making.
Luke began his career as an apprentice in industry, finishing as runner-up in PQ’s Apprentice of the Year 2017, before moving into practice to broaden his experience. He now leads a team managing a portfolio of SME clients, working closely with directors and partners to deliver a joined-up approach, combining statutory compliance, tax planning and commercial insight, all aligned with their wider business and personal goals.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys staying active and is a keen supporter of Norwich City.

Legal Partner
Genti has many years’ experience in the legal and company secretarial profession, working for a number of different law and accountancy firms during this time.
Genti works closely with Tax and Audit partner specialists, advising clients on, corporate re-organisations and group restructuring, share schemes, capital reduction (i.e. share buy-backs or directors’ solvency statement), company restorations, company re-registrations, bespoke articles suitable for various share structures (i.e. family investment companies, growth/freezer shares, redeemable shares, alphabet shares) and shareholders’ agreements.
Genti is a Chartered Company Secretary.

Corporate Tax Advisory
Elliot has over a decade of experience working in a tax practice, including industry experience in the manufacturing sector.
As a corporate tax specialist for OMBs, he advises companies and their owners how to navigate complex areas of taxation and maximise shareholder value, with a strong background advising on EMI implementation, M&A tax matters, capital allowances and group/share restructuring. Elliot was recently shortlisted as a finalist for the 2026 Yorkshire Accountancy Awards.
He is happiest spending quality time with his partner and daughter.

Senior Audit Manager

Partner
Darren has over 25 years’ experience in general practice, advising on statutory accounts, audit and VAT, and now leads the accounts department at our Maidenhead office while overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the business.
He works with clients ranging from private individuals to large group companies across industry sectors, ensuring that the advice and support provided by both himself and the team aligns seamlessly with each client’s goals – both now and for the future.
He’s also a strong believer that the first year in business is one of the most important. Darren’s particularly passionate about supporting start‑up companies in their early stages, helping them to establish solid financial foundations from the outset.
Qualified with the ACCA in 2007, before being admitted as a Fellow in 2012, outside of work Darren loves to spend time with his wife, kids and the dog, who take up the majority of his time. However he does try to keep fit by playing a mixture of sports including football, squash, badminton, and is now enjoying Padel tennis too.

Partner
Daniel supports a broad range of clients from large, complex group structures to local owner‑managed businesses, providing advice across accounting and taxation allowing him to develop an expertise in outsourced accounting solutions.
As a senior statutory auditor, Daniel has strong sector specialisms within freight, logistics, and care service providers. He also has significant experience in property management businesses and regularly delivers specialist audit services, including Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SAR) audits.
Daniel invests considerable time in building meaningful relationships with clients, taking the time to understand their operations and day‑to‑day financial requirements. This allows him to deliver a tailored, joined‑up service. With compliance obligations continually evolving and shifting to digital record‑keeping, he provides clear, practical guidance on navigating Making Tax Digital and ensuring clients remain compliant with current legislation.
Daniel’s previous experience includes working at a big four firm, where he supported major blue‑chip clients such as AXA Real Estate, Marks & Spencer, and large international groups.
Outside of work Daniel enjoys spending time with his family and children. He enjoys the gym, playing snooker (when he occasionally has time) and enjoys watching sport, in particular football and Formula One.

Partner
Philip’s passionate about helping business owners gain a clear understanding of their finances, so they can achieve sustainable, long‑term growth. He believes every business owner deserves the right support behind them, freeing them to focus on their strengths while trusted experts handle their accounting and tax affairs.
Through his collaborative and approachable style, Philip builds strong relationships that give clients the clarity and confidence they need to move their businesses forward.
Having worked in the accountancy industry since completing his A‑levels, Philip has gained experience across several firms, primarily supporting owner‑managed businesses with their accounting, tax, and planning needs.
He’s also highly experienced in a range of accounting software platforms and is often the first point of contact for clients when technical queries arise, offering practical, reliable solutions.
Outside of work, Philip has a young family who keep him busy. When time allows, he enjoys playing golf, following Manchester United, amateur photography, and motorbikes.

Partner
Diane leads the tax department at our Maidenhead office and has been a Chartered Tax Adviser since 2001. She supports clients across a broad spectrum of tax matters, including personal tax, capital gains tax, property tax, corporation tax, and inheritance tax.
With over 30 years’ experience advising both individuals and businesses, Diane also has significant expertise in HMRC investigations and enquiries. In recent years, she successfully took a case to the First Tier Tax Tribunal, resulting in an HMRC assessment of almost £50,000 being overturned.
Diane regularly provides tax advice to solicitors on matrimonial matters and has acted as an Expert Witness in such cases. She is also highly experienced in estate and trust taxation, with many clients referred to her by solicitor firms across the region.
Diane’s a keen netballer, playing for two different teams, and is also a qualified umpire. She is an avid football fanatic, supporting her team Liverpool FC, and enjoys spending time with her two sons, usually at the local gym.

Business Services Manager
Nicola’s a Senior Manager based in our Lolworth office, specialising in bookkeeping and management accounting. She supports corporate clients and sole traders with financial reporting and compliance, with particular expertise in Xero and cloud accounting systems

Accounts & VAT Manager
Lolworth, Cambridge – TC Thompson Taraz Rand, Newmarket, Royston
Nick’s portfolio contains clients from a range of industries and provides personalised accounting services for their corporate tax needs. His expertise in using online accounting software, including Xero, comes in handy as he regularly provides training to his clients.
He also has an understanding of VAT and bookkeeping, and manages a portfolio of VAT clients and their bookkeeping systems and assists with VAT returns.

Practice Manager
Lolworth, Royston, Cambridge – TC Thompson Taraz Rand, Newmarket
Emily’s responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Royston, Cambridge, Newmarket and Lolworth offices. She leads the payroll and administration teams, and plays an integral role in maintaining effective operational processes across the four offices.
She oversees the company secretarial function, and provides trusted advice and guidance to clients on payroll and company secretarial matters.

Adrian heads up our Lolworth office and has over 10 years’ experience advising corporate and private clients.
He works closely with owner-managed businesses and startups, specialising in tax-efficient structuring, remuneration planning and strategic business advice.
