TC GROUP MERGES WITH MAJOR ESSEX BASED FIRM

TC Group has significantly expanded its presence in the South East through a merger with Essex based Jamesons.

The merger, which provides TC with two further offices in Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea, consolidates its position as one of the area’s largest accountancy firms and is the latest in its strategy of expansion across London, the South East, the Midlands and South West.

TC is officially the fastest growing Top 60 firm in the UK.

Jamesons’ managing director, Alan Brown, is optimistic that the merger will enable his firm to expand its client base and offer an even greater range of services.

He said: ‘Jamesons was established in 1936, and for some time now has been the largest independent firm in the Tendring area. Recent years have also seen the growth of our Colchester office. The merger with TC enables us to continue to drive our business forward and expand our services.

‘TC shares our values and exceeded expectations when it came to looking for a merger partner. It was important to us that any partner could continue our tradition for excellent service, application of skills and knowledge while at the same time maintaining an environment that our clients and associates want to be part of.’

Commented TC’s managing partner, Richard Keyes:  ‘Jamesons has a well-established reputation both locally and further afield and further strengthens our capability across a number of core areas.

‘This complements perfectly our strategy of seeking like-minded firms with which to merge and increases our presence across the South East and neighbouring counties.

‘We are very grateful to WJP Brokerage Limited who recognised the potential synergy between us and made the initial introduction.

‘Both Jamesons and TC are working closely together on all aspects of the merger to ensure that their integration will be as seamless as possible.’
