We have an exceptional opportunity to join our mixed tax function.

The ideal candidate will join the company to grow the existing tax function which includes a mixed tax portfolio. You will be responsible for providing high level tax consultancy to the clients of our Sussex, Portsmouth and Farnham offices

Remuneration will depend on your level of experience and the position has the prospect of progression to equity partnership. An opportunity to be rewarded based on fees billed can be agreed. Candidates wishing to bring their own portfolio to the role will be welcomed with suitable remuneration discussed.


Key responsibilities include:

  • providing high level technical advice and support to the group
  • growing the tax practice in Sussex
  • sharing technical knowledge with staff through learning programmes
  • identifying and exploiting tax planning opportunities from the client base


This role is integral in helping the company meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, professional, efficient and effective working environment. As the role may require you to travel to client premises, it is vital you hold a current driving licence and have your own transport.


The Candidate

The position will require the following knowledge and experience:

  • CTA Qualified
  • minimum 5 years’ experience in accountancy practice with a mixed tax technical knowledge and experience of assisting clients on a variety of tax-related issues
  • excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients
  • detail orientated with the ability to demonstrate technical excellence
  • ability to explain complex tax issues
  • the ability to prioritise work and to work to strict timescales
  • proactive, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • organised and adaptable
  • a fanatical attitude to client care and delivering first class customer service
