We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager in our Bournemouth office.  This is a full time position however there is opportunity to work flexible hours.  This is a stand-alone Payroll position in the Bournemouth office however you will be a key member of the Bournemouth accountancy team.  There are stand-alone Payroll positions in all of our TC offices and you will become part of the wider Payroll focus group for regular discussions and updates.

Key responsibilities are:

  • managing a portfolio of payroll clients for the Company
  • SSP, SMP, tax and NI calculations
  • manual calculations and adjustments
  • starter and leaver processing including P45s
  • running reports and extracting data
  • data entry
  • completing CIS returns
  • dealing with client queries as and when they arise
  • managing own flow of work
  • able to meet various deadlines

The role will require you to occasionally travel to client premises it is vital you hold a current driving licence and have your own transport.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • minimum of C GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • minimum of 12 months payroll experience in an accountancy practice environment
  • minimum of 3 years payroll experience
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • experience with STAR would be an advantage
