Having recently launched the HR services division we now have an exciting new opportunity for a part time HR Adviser / Consultant in our Portsmouth office.   Reporting to the Head of HR and Recruitment you will provide HR support and advice to our external clients.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience within a fast paced environment.  No two days are ever the same when working in HR and dealing with client work.  As you will be required to work at our clients’ offices at times, a car and driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • providing accurate and timely telephone and email support and advice
  • drafting template contracts of employment and employee handbooks as well as other standard letters and forms
  • supporting our clients on all HR matters, including but not limited to:
    • disciplinary, capability and grievance issues
    • absence management
    • redundancy
    • settlement agreements
    • family friendly policies
    • recruitment
  • management of client data on the breatheHR employee database
  • accurate recording of time spent on client work using CCH time recording system
  • handling confidential client data in line with TC Group’s GDPR guidelines
  • keeping up to date with employment legislation and considering the impact for our clients

 Knowledge & Experience:

  • minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an HR function
  • experience of working with different clients or departments would be a distinct advantage
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified as a minimum
  • Minimum of GCSE A-C Grades in English and Maths

In addition, you must:

  • be highly organised and confident in your approach
  • be client focused
  • have an ability to manage your own workload to meet client deadlines
  • have excellent IT skills, including a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • a willingness to work as an integral part of a busy team
  • a positive work ethic
