The main focus of your role will be to provide tax planning and advisory services to the group’s corporate clients. The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Partners in the delivery of bespoke tax planning to our clients. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Undertaking and advising clients on ad-hoc tax projects to include areas such as company valuations, company reorganisations, acquisitions and sales, dealing with HM Revenue and Customs enquiries, establishment of share option schemes and preparation of specific tax advice and reports
  • Taking a proactive role in the management and delivery of projects
  • Directly assisting the Tax Partners with the implementation and delivery of tax projects
  • Organising workload to ensure an efficient and timely service is provided to clients
  • Reviewing a limited number of more complex corporate tax returns prepared by junior members of the team
  • Liaising with the accounts and legal teams to obtain necessary information and to meet any required deadlines
  • Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs and clients
  • Option to be involved in private client tax planning (trusts/estates/HNWI) if desired

As the role will require you to travel to client premises it is vital you hold a current driving licence and have your own transport.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • ATT essential, CTA desirable, ACA / ACCA would be considered
  • ideally two years post qualified
  • experience working in a tax department with experience in private, corporate and client tax work within practice
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular a minimum of intermediate level of Excel
  • knowledge of CCH would be an advantage
  • highly personable with excellent communication skills and presentation

Package:

  • £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience
