We have an exciting opportunity for a full time or part time Payroll Manager / Bookkeeper in our Bournemouth office.  Key responsibilities are:

  • full bookkeeping services for a varied portfolio of clients
  • able to meet various deadlines
  • managing a portfolio of payroll clients for the Company
  • SSP, SMP, tax and NI calculations
  • manual calculations and adjustments
  • starter and Leaver processing including P45’s
  • running reports and extracting data
  • data entry
  • handling ad-hoc queries from client
  • completing CIS returns
  • processing day to day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, as well as reconciliations of the main control accounts
  • dealing with client queries as and when they arise
  • managing own flow of work
  • dealing with VAT returns
  • attending client premises to undertake bookkeeping role on-site which includes preparation of management information for trustee meetings
  • providing training to clients on various packages and bookkeeping skills as required
  • supporting colleagues with accounts work when require
  • training and supporting apprentices with general bookkeeping skills

As the role will require you to travel to client premises it is vital you hold a current driving licence and have your own transport.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • minimum of C GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • minimum of 12 months payroll experience
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • experience with Xero and STAR would be an advantage

Package:

  • salary £20,000 – £25,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
