The role

Our London office, based in Mayfair, has an opportunity for an Audit Senior to join the team. Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • plan and deliver audit engagements – owner managed businesses across a wide variety of sectors, including groups and consolidated accounts
  • split of work is 70% audit; 30% accounts, tax and advisory
  • use of risk based approach to identify potential issues, and develop audit work programmes
  • complete audit testing on site at clients’ premises
  • apply professional scepticism and judgment to audit work
  • ability to identify, research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose solutions
  • prepare statutory accounts, draft tax computations, and consolidations
  • work closely with the Partners and Managers
  • management of own work and assignments to deadlines and within budget to identify research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose solutions
  • maintain audit quality standards as required by Audit Regulations and TC internal policies
  • pro-active dedication to professional growth through training and experience opportunities
  • deliver excellent client service
  • support the growth of the London Mayfair office


The candidate

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • qualified ACA or ACCA
  • 2 years PQE working in an accountancy practice
  • strong client facing audit experience from planning through to completion
  • excellent technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
  • experience of statutory accounts software and using audit software – CCH, Pro-Audit and Xero preferable but not essential
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate excel skills as a minimum.
  • highly personable with excellent communication skills
  • positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • willingness to travel
